What We Do…

The Artz Kidz is a unique ‘Arts’ school specialising particularly on Drama, Movement, Literacy and Art work. We offer vibrant, exciting and educational workshops for all ages within the Primary Years. Our classes are a merge of the arts – they blend together to fit particular themes. Hence our slogan: Giving the Arts a Twist.”

We dive into different topics that are child-led so that pupils become fully submerged and can lose themselves in the world we are focusing on. Our classes are fun and engaging because each session has a specific focus, therefore pupils go home feeling fulfilled and motivated to return.

We work on confident building games and also focus on real life issues in order to explore strategies to help pupils address the world in which we live. We allow time to discuss, listen and understand one another’s thoughts, enhancing their ability to take part in real-life debates on different themes such as feelings, bullying, friendship, courage & bravery.

Meeting The National Curriculum

Over the weeks we ensure that our sessions are educational as well as fun by covering National Curriculum expectations in Reading, Art, Drama, Speaking & Listening and some Creative Writing. We teach language and literacy skills through drama and enhance a passion for reading and books through imaginative play.

You should expect to see your child starting to excel in certain areas of the Primary Curriculum. You may see an impact on their language acquisition or their love for reading and books. Their speaking and listening level may improve and you will also notice a difference in their confidence, self worth, and ability to work with others. There are also clear links to the key areas of learning within the Foundation Stage; personal, social and emotional development; communication and language; physical development; expressive arts and design and understanding the world.
